Multi-Creation tokens, built on the ERC-7160 standard, allow you to create NFTs containing additional artworks and content. This guide walks you through creating an ERC-7160 token and adding new creations. Whether you're releasing a collection via Mint Pages or listing a 1/1 token, this article will help you get started.

Important Notes:

  • New artwork creations can only be added to minted ERC-7160 tokens. If you’re using Mint Pages for a blind mint (e.g., randomized 1/1/X drops), you’ll need to wait until each token is minted before adding new creations. However, with the 1/1 Listings feature (which works only with minted tokens), you can add creations immediately after minting—either before listing or after the token sells!

  • You can repeat the process below to add more creations anytime, even if you no longer own the token.

  • Once a creation is added to a token, it cannot be deleted or removed. Double-check all details (e.g., typos, artwork) before adding them on-chain.

Step 1: Create Your Base Token (Index 0)

  1. First, click into your Multi-Creations Collection card or deploy your first Multi-Creations Contract. Learn how here.

  2. Start by creating your token, just like you would for an ERC-721 1/1 NFT:

    • Upload your initial artwork.

    • Add a title, description, traits, and any other relevant details.

    • This initial content will be known as Index 0 of your Multi-Creation token.

  3. Click Preview to review your token.

  4. Save it as a draft token by clicking Save.

Step 2: Choose Your Release Method

Decide how you want to release your token. You have two options:

Option A: 1/1 Listing

  • Select your draft token by hovering over the token card and clicking the checkbox.

  • In the Action Bar at the bottom of the screen, click Mint.

  • Once minted, your token is ready for additional creations (see Step 3).

Option B: Collection Mint Page (Blind Mint)

  • Select all your draft tokens by checking the boxes on their token cards.

  • Click Create Mint Page in the Action Bar.

  • Launch your Mint Page to sell your tokens as a randomized 1/1/X drop.

  • Important: You must wait for each token to be minted (i.e., purchased) before you can add new creations.

For this guide, we’ll assume you’re using the 1/1 Listing method, which allows you to add creations immediately after minting.

Step 3: Add New Creations to Your Minted Token

Once your token is minted, you can enhance it with additional creations. Here’s how:

  1. Access Token Details:

    • Hover over your minted token in The Lab.

    • Click the View Details icon.

  2. Start Adding Creations:

    • On the Token Details page, locate the empty grid on the right-hand side.

    • Click the + icon or the Add New Creation button.

  3. Create Your New Content:

    • Upload new artwork and provide a unique title, description, and traits for this creation.

    • Repeat this step if you want to draft multiple creations.

  4. Select Creations:

    • Next to each drafted creation, click the checkmark (beside the trash icon) to select it.

    • If you’ve drafted multiple creations, select all the ones you want to add.

  5. Preview Your Creations:

    • Click Preview Creations in the bottom-right corner.

    • Review all details—artwork, titles, descriptions, and traits—to ensure everything is correct.

  6. Add to the Blockchain:

    • If everything looks good, click Add On-Chain in the top-right corner.

    • Sign and send the transaction using your wallet.

Boom! Your Multi-Creation token now includes your new artwork and is ready to list as a 1/1 auction or fixed-price sale.
