What is a recipe?

A recipe is an art blueprint you build inside Juno; think of it like a template. Once published, anyone can view it. If you allow remixing, other creators can "remix" your recipe, modify it, and build on the foundation you’ve laid, while you always remain credited as the original author.

How to Publish Your Recipe

1. Locate the Publish Controls

You can publish from two places:

  • In the engine’s bottom action bar, click Publish Latest

  • In the top-left menu, select Publish

  • In your cookbook, hover over your Recipe, and click the "Private" icon

All three actions open the same publish form.

2. Choose the Version to Go Live

Every save in Juno becomes a version. By default, Publish Latest will push your newest iteration. If you need to publish an earlier version, first revert to that version so it becomes your latest, then click Publish.

3. Complete Your Recipe Details

When the publish form appears, you’ll fill out four fields:

  1. Recipe Name: This is your recipe's public title that will display across Juno.

  2. Description (optional): Explain how your recipe works and/or the inspiration behind it.

  3. Thumbnail: Juno grabs a frame for you automatically, but you can upload your image (JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, or SVG) to showcase your work.

  4. Allow Remixing: Remixing is off by default. Turn it on if you want other creators to "remix" your code and build their own versions.

Tip: Every remix retains a link back to your original recipe, so you stay credited for your spark of creativity.

4. What Happens Next

  • Live Preview: Your recipe appears immediately in the Juno community grid

  • Remix Button: If remixing is enabled, visitors see a remix button on your recipe page

Soon, you’ll also get a dedicated landing page and search indexing to make your work even more discoverable.

5. Need to Make Changes?

If you change your mind, return to the top-left menu or dashboard card and select Unpublish. Your recipe will return to draft status until you’re ready to share it again.
