At Transient Labs, we’re committed to empowering artists and collectors through tooling such as The Lab. To keep the platform running smoothly and to fuel ongoing improvements, we generate revenue through two straightforward fees: the Mint Page Fee and the Auction House Fee. Below, we’ll explain how these fees work, who they apply to, and why they matter.

Mint Page Fees

When collectors mint NFTs through a Mint Page—typically used for Editions or larger 1/1/X Collection drops—they’re charged a 0.0009 ETH mint fee per NFT minted. This small fee is applied directly to the collector at the time of minting.

  • Who pays it? The collector.

  • When does it apply? During mints on Mint Pages, such as open editions or large-scale collection drops.

  • What’s it for? This fee helps us maintain The Lab’s infrastructure and continue to enhance the minting experience.

As a creator, you don’t need to worry about this fee—it’s automatically handled during the collector’s transaction, so there’s no extra step for you.

Auction House Fees

For 1/1 listings like Buy-Now and Auction listings, a 2.5% protocol fee is applied to the sale price. This fee is charged to the creator (or seller) and deducted automatically when the transaction completes.

  • Who pays it? The creator/seller.

  • When does it apply? On 1/1 listings, including Reserve Auctions, Scheduled Auctions, Buy Now sales, and Reserve auctions with a Buy Now price.

  • What’s it for? This fee supports the platform’s operational costs and funds future upgrades to make The Lab even better for creators.

Like the Mint Page Fee, this is seamlessly processed at the point of sale—no manual action is required on your part.

Why These Fees Matter

The Mint Page Fee and Auction House Fee are designed to keep the Lab operational and thriving. They cover the costs of hosting, development, and ongoing improvements, ensuring we can continue offering a reliable and innovative platform for creators and collectors. By automating these payments, we’ve made the process as hassle-free as possible so you can focus on what matters most: creating and sharing your work.
