When sharing your Mint page from Transient on X, you may notice that the price in the link preview does not update right away. This happens because X caches card data for up to seven days. The preview image and details may display outdated information until the cache is refreshed.

To make sure collectors see the right price and metadata, you can use the following steps to refresh the cache.

Steps to Refresh a Card Preview on X

1. Check your link in the Tweet Composer

  • Open X and start a new post.

  • Paste your mint page URL.

  • Wait for the preview card to appear.

  • If the price is correct, you are ready to share. If not, continue to step 2.

2. Use a bit.ly link to force a refresh

  • Copy your mint page URL.

  • Shorten it with bit.ly.

  • Post the new shortened URL into the Tweet Composer.

  • Refresh your browser and check the preview.

  • This often forces X to fetch the most recent metadata.

3. Add a unique parameter if needed

  • If the preview is still outdated, add a unique query or hash to the end of your URL.

  • Example:

  • Shorten this updated URL with bit.ly and paste it into the Tweet Composer.

  • Each unique variation signals X to re-check your page.

4. Confirm your preview

  • Paste your new URL into a draft Tweet.

  • Wait for the preview to generate.

  • Refresh the page to confirm the price and details are updated.

By following these steps, you'll ensure that the correct pricing is displayed in your OpenGraph images on X, providing clarity to potential collectors.
